IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS/INFORMATION'S TO CANDIDATES | ||||||||
JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION 2010 | ||||||||
DEGREE |

The children of Arunachal Pradesh Schedule Tribe, the children of Non-APST State Government employees, the children of Central Government employees serving in Arunachal Pradesh and the children of all others residing in Arunachal Pradesh for last 3 years or more are eligible to appear at the Joint Entrance Examination`2010 for Degree Courses provided they further fulfill the laid down conditions as given below in these instructions/informations for the candidates. |

The candidates should have appeared or passed the final Board Examination of 10+2 in Science stream. However the results of the candidates who have appeared the examination should be known before the JEE result is declared. |

3 | Candidates passed/appeared in Compartmental Examination are not eligible for appearing in the Joint Entrance Examination, 2010. | |||||||
4 | The last date for submission of duly completed application forms in the Directorate of Higher & Technical Education, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar –791111 is fixed on 31/03/2010 upto 4.00 p.m. No applications will be entertained after expiry of the last date what so ever the reason may be. | |||||||
5 | Incomplete application form shall be summarily rejected without any information/notice to the candidate. Therefore, Candidates should fill up the application forms carefully. | |||||||
6 | Candidates should collect the Admit Card from the Directorate of Higher & Technical Education, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar w.e.f. 18/05/2010 onwards during office hours. Admit Card will not be dispatched by post and will be issued only on production of acknowledgment sheet. | |||||||
7 | Candidate should attach with the application form, attested copy of the certificate/admit card of AISSE or equivalent Board, in support of his/her date of birth. | |||||||
8 | Candidates should be 17 to 21 years of age as on the date of admission in the particular institution to which he/she is nominated to. However, upper age limit of SC/ST candidates is relaxable by 3 years. | |||||||
9 | Result of JEE`2010 will be declared only in the form of merit list for all the candidates who have appeared in the examination. But allotment of seat will be made strictly on merit from the top as per availability of seat and as per qualifying norms of the concerned institution. | |||||||
10 | Result once declared is final, and no request for re-examination of answer sheets shall be entertained. | |||||||
11 | Candidates who have passed Class – XII examination should submit the marksheet or Admit Card if appearing. | |||||||
12 | Whenever two or more candidates stand in the same rank by securing equal marks in the JEE, their inter-se merit shall be determined on the basis of percentage of marks secured in the Board Examination. Thereafter too, if they still are found to have secured equal percentage, their cases will be decided on the basis of marks secured in PCB in case of PCB group and PCM for PCM group. | |||||||
13 | The following are the categories of candidates : | |||||||
Category – I | Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe which also includes children of IAS/Central Govt./State Govt. employees belonging to APST | |||||||
Category – II | Sons and daughters only of Non-APST State Government employees | |||||||
Category – III | Sons and daughters only of All India Services (IAS, IPS, IFS etc.)/Central Govt. employees serving within the territory of Arunachal Pradesh | |||||||
Category – IV | All others, not included in any of the above three categories with the conditions as mentioned in para-15 | |||||||
14 | To be eligible to be considered under Category–III, the employee should be serving under the Government of Arunachal Pradesh. | |||||||
15 | To be eligible to be considered under Category–IV, a student should have appeared/passed Class XII from any of the schools within Arunachal Pradesh and his/her parents should have been residing in Arunachal Pradesh for the last 3 years or more. Both the criterion should be fulfilled or otherwise the candidature may be cancelled at any point of time. | |||||||
16 | Total number of seats of various courses received from the Central pool are allotted to different categories as shown below:- | |||||||
Category – I | 80% | |||||||
Category – II | 12% | |||||||
Category – III | 4% | |||||||
Category – IV | 4% | |||||||
For the purpose of counting number of seats as per the above percentage, various Degree Courses of Central pool are broadly grouped as under :- | ||||||||
Medical Group | (MBBS/BDS/BHMS/BAMS etc.) | |||||||
Engineering Group | (Various branches of engineering courses) | |||||||
Agriculture Group | (B.Sc. Agri., Hort. Fishery, Forestry, B.V.Sc. & AH, etc.) | |||||||
17 | Preference of candidates shall be considered subject to availability of seats in the particular discipline and allotment made by the Central Government. No candidate whatsoever can, as a matter of right, ask for particular discipline or particular college/institute. | |||||||
18 |
Choice of course/disciplines indicated in Application Form will be taken as final and shall not be allowed to change at later stage unless open counseling is held. |

If any candidate, after issuing of the nomination order, does not join or continue in the college and does not complete the prescribed course without sufficient reason, he/she will not be eligible in the subsequent JEE. |

One seat of Degree in Engineering Course under Cat-I is reserved for handicapped candidate. However, candidate should qualify in the merit list of JEE’2010 and also produce handicapped certificate from competent medical board. Handicapped candidate must be capable of undergoing the course, with his/her physical condition. |

If a candidate is selected and prefers admission against any seat of other competitive examinations, he/she must immediately surrender the seat allotted out of the State quota. |

The Government of Arunachal Pradesh reserves the right of nomination of eligible candidate as per the merit list. |

At the time of examination, candidate shall be provided with an Answersheet alongwith the Test Booklet. Candidate should thoroughly read the instructions published in the Test Booklet before attempting any questions. After the examination, candidate should submit both the Answersheet and Test Booklet to the Examiner. |

24 | The date of Open Counseling for allotment of seats shall be finalised on confirmation of allotment by the Govt. of India. | |||||||
Note:- The above guidelines may be modified or changed at the discretion of the State Government, in case the situation so demands. |

DIPLOMA | ||||||||

2 | The candidate(s) must have passed Class-X for Diploma Course from any recognized Board/University or he/she must have appeared in the examination whose result is likely to be known before the JEE,2010 result is declared. | |||||||
3 | Candidates passed/appeared in Compartmental Examination are not eligible for appearing in the Joint Entrance Examination, 2010. | |||||||
